Every year since 1991 on ANZAC day or Easter Monday Club members have given of their time and skills to run a Giant Fair and Auction. The Rotary Club has been a major supporter of the Gym Club and each year the Community Committee has collected hundreds of items for Auction. Proceeds were split 50/50 with the club although in later years there have been other sharing arrangements.

In 2004 there was a clash with another major event in Wanganui and the giant fair and auction, although raising worthwhile funds was not the success it has been in the past. The same clash will occur in 2005 so the event has been cancelled for next year.
