Many Clubs throughout Australia and New Zealand are providing funds and practical help to build simple practical homes for Fiji families with very little income, often from only seasonal canecutting work. About 700 homes have been built in the last 20 years.

The Rotary Club of Wanganui has raised funds for the construction of one home each year for the past three years and is doing the same again this year. About $1800, the cost of a basic home, is raised, mainly from the proceeds of a mystery auction held at one of our regular weekly meetings.

In addition, in July 2005 the club sent a team to Fiji to construct a home.
